Waiting for Christmas on the Garda Lake

nataleChristmas is coming, and the Arco Market had officially opened on November 16th, and until December 23rd, every weekend (Fridays-Saturdays-Sundays), it will host the Christmas markets. A great opportunity you shall not miss, since it is very nice to see how to celebrate the holidays in a different way, exploring ideas around the markets.

More than 30 stands will be nestled in the center, on the shores of the Garda Lake, and tourists and guests will be able to see hundreds of gift ideas for Christmas. Scarfs, wool and sheepskin berets, slippers, lanterns, hand-made crèches, artistic felt products, natural products, and so on.

There will also be the chance to taste some of the traditional Christmas snacks, such as roasted chestnuts, the Strauben (the funnel cake), and the mulled apple cider, and to walk through the markets to buy the best local products such as cheese, honey and jam. In fact the good thing about these markets is that you can find so many gift ideas for all the ages, tastes and prices, in order to have a more original and enchanting Christmas.

The Arco Market is open from 10 am to 7 pm and, except for Saturday 8th, when the stands will be open unitl 9.30 pm, since it is a national holiday. Moreover, that day you will be able to see the fireworks show over the Argo Castle: an appointment you can’t miss, since it is so fascinating.

On the weekends, in general, you can join some guided tour and discover the history of the centre of the city, listen to some Christmas concerts and visit the crèche exhibition along the lanes of the centre.

For kids, the fun can continues while observing the farm animals or going on board the cute Christmas train which goes all around the town.
