If you are in the Veneto region at the end of May, and if you like wine, save the date! From May 31st to June 2nd, in fact, there will be held the Palio del Chiaretto 2013 edition.
The event, which is also known as the Rosè Prize, is held in Bardolino, in the Lungolago Cornicello, and you will be able to see so many stands of wine for the tasting, but not only them: there will also be a musical entertainment and you will see the Bardolino Confraternity Parade, as well as the investiture of the Chiaretto wine ambassadors.
This festival reached its 8th edition and who organized the event is pretty sure that there will be so many people, both wine lovers and tourists, ready not to miss this weekend.
It’s so nice, since it happens during spring, going around the stands tasting both the classic and the Rosè Bardolino while enjoying the sun and walk on the lake rivers.
If you like open air markets, you will also have the chance to buy something nice as souvenir, as well as some typical food products and, of course, a bottle of wine.
You will also be able to learn the history of this wine, whose name comes from the town which helds the event and, by tasting it, you will be able to understand while the wine has the DOC title.
You can also visit the hills in the whole province of Verona where it is produced, seeing where the grapes grow and being able to discover which food can be eaten while drinking this red wine.
A very nice way to spend a weekend in a different way, between sun, lake and drinks.
